Meet The Doctor

Doctor Ericksen

Dr. Andrew G. Ericksen has been practicing in Utah for several years and has found that Dental Assistants are obtaining a Dental Assistant Certificate without being given the necessary clinical skills to succeed. The graduates then have difficulty obtaining a position following the completion of their dental assisting program. Dental Assistant Studio graduates will be given the skills and clinical training to be capable, dependable candidates for employment immediately following graduation.

Dr. Ericksen grew up near Holladay, UT and attended the local high school, Olympus High. He graduated with honors from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science degree in International Studies. He went on to attend Creighton University School of Dentistry in Omaha, NE. Since receiving his DDS, Dr. Ericksen has worked at Holladay Dental Studio.

Dr. Ericksen is the only Associate Fellow with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry in Salt Lake Valley and has been a member since 2010. In 2011, he completed the Whitecap Institute’s Guided Implant Residency and advanced implant courses on sinus lifts and tissue grafting. He has also completed certificates with the Global Institute for Dental Education in sinus grafting, A to Z implant dentistry, aesthetic implant therapy, advanced implant therapy, and implants for edentulous patients. Dr. Ericksen is dedicated to his education, completing around 50 to 60 hours of continuing education courses each year.

In addition to his excellence in implant dentistry, Dr. Ericksen has extensive experience in endodontic treatment, crown and bridge restorations, composite restorations, extractions, Invisalign, and orthodontics. With his ability to complete a wide variety of procedures we are able to provide all of our patients care without having to refer them to another specialist.

Dr. Ericksen finds joy in solving complicated problems for his patients. He and his wife, Liz, live in Holladay with their three daughters, Gwen, Kate, and Emma. When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Ericksen loves to hike, ski, play basketball, and follow local sports.
